Visitors and Guests
During your visit, it is expected you exercise COVID-19 precautions including wearing masks and social distancing when possible, sanitizing high touch spaces, and practicing good hand hygiene.
- Residents are allowed up to 4 total people per room.
- Social gatherings are still prohibited in fraternity houses. Visitors to fraternity houses must visit only the room of their host.
- Visitors who are not members of the fraternity must register their visit. Members of the same fraternity will continue to be able to visit for chapter business without registering their visit.
- Visitors can be present only if the roommate is comfortable having this visitor in the room.
- It is highly encouraged that all parties wear masks when a visitor is in the room. Masks must be worn if the roommate is present.
- Masks must be worn at all times when traveling the corridors and using public facilities.
Enforcement
It is the hope of the university that our fraternity members understand that loosened restrictions are not a return to fully open operations; fraternities still have a role to play to contribute to the health of UE and the surrounding community. Fraternities are expected to enforce these policies among their own members, and IFC will monitor registration reports each week to ensure all chapters are cooperating. Though IFC may have its own consequences, they would not exempt a chapter from university consequences if policy violations occur. Abuse of the updated visitation policy will be dealt with in a way that ultimately promotes and supports a healthy environment for all residents, members, visitors, and the community.
