“I agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions of Irish Surfing’s Surf School Program (‘the Program’).
I undertake to formally notify Irish Surfing of any changes to the School’s insurance policy and/or changes to the staff and instructor list which may occur during the course of the year.
I confirm that the School is fully compliant with the National Vetting Bureau Acts 2012 to 2016 and the Children First Act 2015.
I further confirm that the School has the following documents in place which are subject to annual review:
i. Health and Safety Statement and Policy;
ii. Risk Assessment Policy
iii. Normal Operation Procedures (NOP);
iv. Emergency Action Plan (EAP); and
v. Child Safeguarding Statement and Policy.
I understand that action may be taken against the School in circumstances where:
i. any complaint has been made to Irish Surfing in respect of an alleged breach of the requirements, obligations and responsibilities imposed by these Terms and Conditions; or
ii. the School has been found to be in apparent breach of standards by an Inspector (from either WSI or Irish Surfing); or
iii. in the view of the board of directors of Irish Surfing (‘the Board’), the School has been involved in any matter which brings the School, or the sport of surfing, into disrepute; or
iv. the School fails to deal with a potential danger.
I accept that the sanctions which may be imposed by the Board in any of the circumstances outlined above are:
i. a written warning and/or a fine;
ii. suspension from the Program; or
iii. expulsion from the Program.
In the event of a School’s failure to comply with or enforce a sanction, the Board may suspend or expel the School from the Program.
