This is a full-time in-house position dedicated to building, programming, designing, and maintaining our e-commerce website, databases and CRM integrations, vendor integrations, and future document hosting program(s). The position requires on-site office hours in Portland, Oregon, and up to 5% travel.
The Web Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining a user platform to distribute digital documentation. The Web Developer will maintain, update, and make changes to the existing website, automated integrations, and customer database to execute the overall vision of OREF within the direction of the Executive Officer and Board of Managers.
General Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining document hosting platform

Update and maintain current eCommerce platform.

Maintain database; ensure accuracy, security, and redundancy.

Act as development liaison for outside vendors utilizing authentication methods.

Translate complicated and intricate technical issues into user-friendly material for communications.

Implementing updates provided from user stories, feedback, and competitive insight.

Maintain a testing program, upkeep log to track current issues, feature requests, etc.
Skills Required

Interest in user experience design / usability

Exposure to front-end web technologies

A solid experience building applications on top of APIs.

Solid knowledge of web application frameworks

Solid knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, and componentization approaches

Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the web

Exposure to automated testing concepts (e.g. unit testing, functional testing)

Understanding of source code control concepts and systems (e.g. Git, Svn)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work well in a small team structure / Agile environment

Strong Problem-Solving skills

BS or equivalent degree in Computer Science required; OR

BS with 6+ years of Web development experience
