BEFORE YOU GET STARTED...
Troops or groups intending to take a short trip should complete this form.
This form is for trips lasting 1-4 nights away from council and/or any trip to states that share a border with our council (Louisiana, Oklahoma or Arkansas).
The form is due at least 1 month before the proposed trip.
All adults accompanying girls must have a current GSUSA membership, Criminal Background Check on file, and must have completed Youth Protection Training Level 1 & 2. All drivers must hold valid a Driver's License and motor vehicle records will be reviewed. All vehicles must comply with state laws having current state inspection stickers and driver must provide proof of insurance. (Use Driver Checklist, GSSJC F-477).
What you may need to complete this form:
- Current certifications for all travelers
- First Aiders
- Youth Protection Training- Levels 1 and 2
- Camp Certification
- Lifeguards (for waterfront activities)
- Budget Records (created by you)
- Roster of trip participants (created by you)
- Itinerary of your trip (created by you)
Note: If you are going out of the region of Texas or its adjoining states, you must use the Extended Troop Trip form - (GSSJC O-883)
