Dear Parent/Guardian,

Your child has been invited  to be a part of our Saturday Academy Program. This year we are focused on getting our students to excel in their essential skills; such as time management, note taking and study skills. Based on an evaluation of your child’s 1st Marking Period grades, your child has been identified as someone who would benefit and excel academically with these strategies. However, due to limited availability and resources, no more than two absences will be permitted. In addition, please ensure your child is  mentally and physically prepared each day. 

Our  Saturday Academy will be held from 9:00- 1pm.

Program Dates:  

April 17,24  May 1,8,15,22  June 5,12,19

In order for this program to achieve its highest levels of success, we need your 100 percent support to ensure your child’s attendance on each of the dates that Saturday Academy will be held. Just as we do during the regular week, SVA will maintain a zero tolerance policy for behavioral issues or disruptions. When scholars misbehave, a call will be made to his/her parent. Subsequent infractions will result in further disciplinary consequences and may jeopardize your child’s participation.

I provide my child permission to attend SVA Saturday Academy.  I understand that I must ensure he/she attends, is prepared, and focused in order for any improvements to take place in his/her academics.

Our Saturday Academy program will be hosted from 9:00-1pm.

Understand that the S.T.A.R.S Program will begin as a Virtual Program once we are informed that the program can begin In-Person an updated permission slips will be needed.
