  • Custom Order Requirements/ Instructions

    • Accuracy of your request form determines turnaround time to receive a quote.  Incomplete forms, missing information, etc will cause delays in receiving your quote and delay production timeline. Prioritization will be given to complete and accurate forms. 
    • The more measurements, photos and sketches you can provide the better
    • Our binding colors are standard unless specified. If you have questions about binding color, please let us know prior to purchasing. We will not remake an order if this isn't specified before production. 
    • All custom orders are cut to the measurements you provide. Make sure to account for your wood reveal in the measurements. Please do not provide your full length measurements and ask us to deduct your wood reveal.
    • Custom orders are NOT eligible for remakes or returns 
    • Payment is due in full in order to be added to the production queue. Production timeline begins from the date we receive payment. Once sent, the quote will be available for 90 days before expiring.
    • Measurements should be kept to the closest 1/4" as industry standard allows for a 1/4" variance.
    • We do not bullnose/square any side measurement over 70".
    • We do not bind any measurement less than 2".
    • Curved stairs can only have flat edging.

  • Instructions for Irregular Shapes

    • All odd-shaped pieces require templates to ensure accuracy. You can either mail us paper templates or pay a fee and we will mail you padded templates using your measurements/ sketches. 
    • If you require additional templates that vary from the provided measurements/ sketches, you may be subject to an additional template fee before we can proceed. 

    If you choose for us to provide templates:

    • You can use painter's tape to map out how you would like your carpet to look on your stairs. We've provided an example of what that would look like.
    • Then submit the form, including the pictures of your taped-off stairs with all side measurements provided.
    • We would then make templates of our own (based on your provided measurements) to mail out to you for approval before making the final product.
    • Templates are cut to the best of our ability, but irregular shapes and angles can affect accuracy. Noting the angles will help ensure your templates are cut as accurately as possible.

     All templates (whether you made your own or we provided you with them) need to be signed before they're mailed to us! Templates missing customer approval will delay the process.

    • If any pertinent information is missing, we will require the form to be resubmitted before providing a quote to ensure accuracy.
    • If you need multiple estimates, please submit one request per style
    • Custom estimates are not eligible for returns, remakes, or refunds.
    • Custom estimates and discontinued styles do not qualify for regular discounts/promotions.
    • All custom orders are cut to the measurements you provide
    • Timeline for production begins once we receive payment. Not when you intiate a request for a custom order.
