  • Despite the growing concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), meeting basic needs remains our top priority.

    We continue to serve families during scheduled event times or by appointment only. All donated items provided and distributed to caregivers are handled using appropriate social distancing, sanitation and hygiene guidelines.

    Adults and mature teens are welcome to volunteer.

    Please note that this form allows you to Schedule up to five (5) volunteers and up to three (3) service hours at a time. If you wish to sign more than 5 people or you wish to volunteer for more than 3 hours, a new form must be submitted. 

    Volunteers Needed Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. 


    If you cannot attend, we ask that you call us with as much advance notice as possible at 623-428-1592.

     

    Priority is as follows:

    - Sort and put away donations

    - Prepare Food Boxes - fill emergency need requests when a submission is received. Clothing and basic personal item packs are put together/distributed for each child listed on the request -  each child or youth receives 3 tops, 3 bottoms, socks, underwear or wipes with diapers/pull ups. Backpack for school aged children or a Comfort bag for children ages 1-4. 3 books, a blanket, hygiene kit and shoes.

    - Fill Birthday box request when a submission is received. Put together- costume, 2 new toys, new book, new blanket, as well as a birthday kit in a bag (cake mix, frosting, candles, party decor).

    - Assist with cleaning tasks

    Please Note:

    A new Health Order requires everyone in Mesa to wear face coverings when they are outside of their homes for essential needs, and requires staff and volunteers who interact with the public to cover their face while doing essential work. We ask that all volunteer wear a face covering. One will be provided if you do not bring one. Volunteers with symptoms such as a cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle aches, headache, chills, or fever should stay home. Volunteers will be asked to wash or sanitize hands frequently. Volunteers will practice social/physical distancing (standing or sitting at least 6 feet apart) from other people, including in the tutoring, music and kitchen areas.
