The Caribbean Leadership Empowerment Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and cultural purposes. Our aim is to provide financial assistance to college students throughout their academic journey. Preference will be given to applicants who may not otherwise be able to attend college for financial reasons. The values of the awards are $2,000 for International students from the Caribbean, $1,000 and $500 for U.S. Residents/Citizents of Caribbean descent.
Application Process and Requirements:
The scholarships are awarded by the Caribbean Leadership Empowerment Foundation Inc. to current undergraduate students attending NYC institutions. Recipients will be selected on the basis of their academic performance in college, financial need, and potential for serving as a good representative of their community/country, based on a review of the documents listed below. In addition, finalists may be subjected to an interview (details will follow, once finalists are selected). Winners will have the opportunity to join our mentorship program to help guide other students.
To be considered for the Caribbean Leadership Empowerment Foundation Inc. Scholarship, you must be an undergraduate NYC student (regardless of immigration status) with a G.P.A. of 2.7 or higher and be able to provide the following with your application:
1. Unofficial Transcript
2. 500-1000 Word Personal Statement
3. Two letters of recommendation
