2nd Year Scholarship

Summary

The Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation, Inc scholarship has a renewal opportunity being provided to students that received the 1st Year Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation, Inc. scholarship in 2025.

This 2nd Year scholarship awards up to $5,000 and will be awarded prior to attending Fall semester. 

Eligibility

Scholarship applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

1. Be a Ronald & Joyce Wanek Foundation, Inc. Scholarship recipient in 2025.
2. Completed classes in Fall 2025 & Spring 2026
3. Be enrolled/attending a technical college or university in Fall 2026
4. Must be majoring in an approved field of study listed below:
   Automation Technology, Automation & Robotics, Carpentry, Commercial Driving, Construction, Diesel Technology, Electrical, Electromechanical, Engineering (Automation, Computer, Design, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical) Heavy Equipment Operation, HVAC, Interior Design, Information Technology (IT), IoT (Internet of Things), Machine Tooling, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Pipefitting, Plumbing, Welding & Fabrication

How to Apply & Required Documents

1. Fill out scholarship application.
2. Write a two page essay about your first year of college, examples of what to include:
   1. How did you succeed in your first year?
   2. Did you face any challenges and how did you overcome those challenges?
   3. What are you looking forward to next school year?
   4. What opportunties did you take advantage of joining or attending?
   5. Do you have a favorite course or least favorite?
   6. Explain your financial need going into next school year
3. College transcript - Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 completed courses with grades
   1. DO NOT pay for copy of transcript, screenshots of the digital copy will work!
4. Class schedule - Fall 2026
5. One recommendation letter from a professor from Fall 2025/Spring 2026 courses
6. Resume to include headings for the categories listed below:
   1. Name, address, phone number & email
   2. Summary statement
   3. Education
   4. Employment history (if any)
   5. Hobbies and interests
7. Submit completed application and required documents by the submission deadline Friday, June 19, 2026.

You will receive a confirmation email verifying your scholarship application has been submitted. If you do not receive the confirmation email, please contact ronaldandjoycewanekfoundation@gmail.com to verify it has been received.

Approval Process

All application materials are reviewed and scored by the scholarship committee. The scholarship committee reserves the right to amend or terminate the scholarship program at any time.
