This session will highlight a AOFYE grant-funded research study on how students from rural backgrounds experience higher education. Research team members will particularly focus on how rurality influences student experiences as they first encounter the institution through admissions processes, orientation programs, and experiences during the first-year. Facilitators will frame rurality as an asset that can be built upon for student success.
