To obtain a medical cannabis card as a minor under the age of 18, the state has certain requirements, 2 of the most important to know are these:
- The patient must have strong medical documentation of a qualifying condition that will be screened by the compassionate care board for approval.
A guardian of the minor patient must be involved in the care plan, undergo a BCI background check, and pay an application fee of $68.25 initially, and $24 every 6 months for renewal.
- The review process at the compassionate care review board may take up to 90 days. If you have strong documentation of a qualifying diagnosis, and you have a Guardian willing to go through this process, we are willing to review your case and do our best to support you.
Please read all of the information in the link below from the State of Utah regarding cannabis patient applications under the age of 21.
