Each year, in honor of National Volunteer Week, the Mayor’s Volunteer Recognition Committee bestows the Gate City Light Award. This award recognizes an organization and its volunteers for giving their time in the spirit of community and caring, and for making significant contributions to the people of Nashua. Please provide thorough, detailed responses to all of the information requested with specific examples and/or details of the organization, their service programs, and the impact of the service they support. Keep in mind that reviewers are not likely to have prior knowledge of the organization/activities that you are writing about. Include specific details whenever possible and we encourage you to include a heartwarming & inspiring story about the organization.
