WATER PRACTICE:  Water Practices are planned on both the BEACH Site (Junior/Apprentice/Working) and BACK Site (Courier/Master) for Thursday afternoon (Oct 2) from 12PM - 4PM and Friday afternoon (Oct 3) from 1PM - 4PM  (or immediately following Trial 1) 

 Volunteers are needed for BOTH sites to DIVA, Steward and Row. Please enter Your Name in the text box below under the position you are will to volunteer for!  

Three Water Trials Oct 3, 4 and 5th so we need three days of Volunteers! 

Junior/Apprentice/Working will run on the BEACH SITE and Courier/Master on the BACK site. A description of the volunteer positions are listed below.  The trials are listed separastely below - so you will need to sign up for a volunteer position for each trial.  There are new volunteer positions so PLEASE READ! 

• First -  check the box for the level(s) you are competing in and/or stewarding in for each Trial. (to avoid conflicts with scheduling volunteeers).
• Next - Enter YOUR NAME and/or Family Member Name in the box(s) for the position(s) you are volunteering for.  Names can be entered multiple times for different positions.   If you would like to Volunteer as a "Floater" and have the Volunteer Coordinator place you where you are needed -  please state that in the comment section.

EQUIPMENT CHECK-IN:  7-9AM Friday, Saturday and Sunday

COOLER ICE DUTY:  Each Morning we need a volunteer to bring ice to the site and ensure the coolers (including judges coolers) are filled with ice.  You will be reimbursed for the ice you purchase.  

MORNING OF TRIAL SITE SET UP:  Each morning at 7:30 we need two volunteers to set up the Diva Boards at each site, post the running order and volunteer schedules on the Diva Boards, assist with the secretary table set up and equipment Check in Station.  

TRIAL GATE STEWARD (DIVA): The Trial Day DIVA ensures the teams are on the line and on deck and ready to go to keep the trial moving smoothly.

GATE/LAND STEWARD: NOTE: The Land Steward also acts as Gate Steward for all Levels except Apprentice. The Junior Land Steward must be able to accurately throw the dummy 25 feet. The Apprentice Land Steward must be able to accurately throw the dummy 60 feet. The Apprentice Gate (aka Flopper) must be able to accurately flop and place the Float Line between the Two Markers.

BOAT STEWARD: 2 Rowers are needed for Working, Courier and Master Levels. Please Note the Level of Difficulty in the Table below. The Workiing Handler Boat must be able to throw a dummy 50' from boat.

Boat Steward Level of Difficulty:

• Easy - Courier Handler Boat
• Easy - Courier Steward Boat
• Intermediate - Junior Boat
• Intermediate - Working Handler Boat - Must be able to throw dummy 50' from boat
• Intermediate - Master Handler Boat
• Difficult - Apprentice Boat
• Difficult - Working Second Boat - Need to control stern to stern position
• Difficult - Master Steward Boat

I/we agree to hold the PWDCA and the event-giving club, their members, directors, officers, agents, and judge(s) at this event, the owner and/or lessor of the premises, any provider of services for this event and any employees or volunteers of any of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss, injury, or illness which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person, animal or thing by the act of my dog while in or upon the trial grounds or while entering or leaving same, and I/we further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, disappearance or theft of, or damage injury or illness to, my dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage, injury or illness is caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any other parties aforementioned, by the negligence of any other person, or by any other cause or causes.
