Poem In Your Pocket Day is April 29, 2021
Poem in Your Pocket Day is an international movement that encourages folks to center poetry within their daily interactions. On PIYP Day, select a poem, carry it with you, and share it with others in virtual spaces, or safely distanced at schools, bookstores, libraries, parks, workplaces, coffee shops, street corners, and on social media using the hashtag #PocketPoem.
Every year, the LCP mails poems on postcards to our members and friends of the League, but this year we're thinking bigger:
Fill out this form to have a poem postcard mailed to a family member, friend, neighbour, community organization or yourself.
While this is a pay-what-you-can (PWYC) event, please consider a donation to the League so we can continue to fill pockets with poems for years to come!
Recommended donation is $5 per postcard.
Canadian address only.
Postcards will be mailed throughout April. Due to the fluctuating reliability of mailing services in the pandemic, delivery by April 29 cannot be guaranteed.
