Landcare NSW has been working hard on behalf of its members to secure funding for Bushfire affected communities. The funds for this grant have come from Transport for NSW and is specifically for tree planting regions impacted by last year's fires.
The Landcare NSW T4NSW Fund aims to assist Landcare NSW Member groups in re-vegetation projects that are within a 50km radius of areas affected by bushfires that occured throughout 2019/2020.
In this Phase, funding is paid at a rate of $8-$10 per tree for direct on ground work to cover any and all costs related to the project. This could include additional time, paid hours required to coordinate the planting activities.
Funding is provided on a needs basis with no cap and is administered by Landcare NSW.
Projects should directly benefit Landcare groups and their people and places.
As this is just the initial phase of the partnership, there is likely to be additional funding for on-ground projects in the future.
