I am offering dye commissions, but only under certain conditions. I can’t and won’t ever promise that a dye job will turn out completely even. If the company (or yourself, or the previous owner(s)) have sanded the seam lines, the dye will appear darker at those spots (or in a different color than the rest).
Also be aware that even though dyeing is way more durable than airbrush or regular blushing, it can scratch (although not easily) and it IS removable with nail polish remover/rubbing alcohol to a certain extent. Light dyeing can be rubbed off with a wet magic eraser (if you’re using force), while black dye is really permanent. That said, If you ever decide to give the doll a new face-up, the dye will come off too - therefore I would recommend airbrushing the head to match the doll, that way it can be redone.
What I CAN do:
- Any fantasy color (blue, pink, purple, black, green, red, yellow and any kind of mix)
- Gradients / partial dyeing / patterns
- Getting a greened doll back to NS (I can't dye a greened doll back to WS though)
- tanning jobs
- Airbrush, matching the head to the body (as with any spray on paint, it can scratch/chip)
What I CAN’T do:
- Absolutely exact colors, like “I really want the color with the hexcode #f25960!” (which would be a bright salmon). I can only do close matches.
- Color matches by pictures only. Means I need a part of the doll the color should be matched to (headcap/hand)
- Dyeing a doll lighter than it actually is, means I can’t turn a peach normal color into a very pale green one, for example (or tan to bright pink). Just doesn't work.
- Some colors are just not possible, like neons
- I don’t do dyeing to match tan colors, since tans are hard to get right - both with dyes as with airbrush colors.
