North Houston District - Call for Mural Artists

Request for Qualification (RFQ)

Describe your interest in this project and proposed approach. Summarize your related experience creating public murals. (300 words max).

Please attach or enter a resume in standard job-hunting format. Include your goals as an artist, education and training, relevant job experience, community engagement or activism experience, commissions, exhibitions, collections, murals, public/street art, etc. Emerging artists may substitute an Artist’s Statement. In it, briefly describes your artistic interests, directions, experience, prior projects (including murals or street art), and education (including self-taught and non-traditional).

Include a list of up to 10 related projects. At least 3 must be commissioned murals. For each work, include the title, media, date, a brief description, location, client and budget. Number the projects on the list, 1-10.

We are interested in seeing examples of your artwork that is similar (in style) to art that you would propose for this mural.

For each work on the list, upload a single photograph or a single page with up to four images of work from a series. Each artwork should be attached separately as a JPEG file. Each JPEG file must be named in the following format: FirstName.LastName.ListNumber.JPEG
