Consulting can be a formidable process for many small businesses. The consulting fees can be expensive and the process can be vague at first. NYWGF members have support in this critical process.

Consulting
Tier 2 and 3 Winery and Grower members can access one introductory (1-hour) consult, free of charge, with Farm Credit East Consultants. Consulting may be obtained in: Financial consulting/business planning, General Benchmarking, and Business structure/succession and estate planning.

Benchmarks Program
Returning for 2022-2023, NYWGF is again proud to partner with Farm Credit East to support the Benchmarks Program. All Tier 2 and 3 Winery Members will be provided with a $350 subsidy when they sign up to participate.

The Farm Credit East Winery Benchmarks program is a unique way to see how your business compares to your wine industry peers. The program serves as an important annual management report and can provide key insights on business improvement processes.

During the Benchmarks process, winery leaders and Farm Credit East consultants gather to discuss issues related to winery financial performance and strategy, with the goal of aligning their business model with available resources and ever-changing market forces.

Along with an in-depth financial and operational analysis of your business, the Benchmarks program allows you to interact with other successful winery owners, take part in dialogue to better understand your industry, and gain constructive feedback from an experienced Farm Credit consultant.
