Applicants are required to provide additional information. Please submit all the documents listed below in ONE pdf file.

Name your file: FirstName_LastName_Documents and upload it below.

Personal statement: This is your opportunity to introduce yourself to us. Tells us about yourself, interests, values etc... The questions below offer some ideas of what you should include in your statement:

-What do you enjoy, what are your aspirations and what you hope to bring to the Burgmann community?

-Can you tell me about a time when you’ve had to stand up for something that was right, even if it wasn’t easy?

-Could you tell me a bit about your academic interests?

-What kinds of activities would you be interested in getting involved in at Burgmann?

-What does "leadership" mean to you?

-We also value Bystander Intervention – if you see something that’s not ok, you’re expected to intervene. For example, if you’re out and you notice a Burgmann resident is not well or is in a vulnerable situation, even if you are not friends with them, we expect residents to help get them home safely. Does this resonate with you? Can you tell me about a time when you’ve intervened as a bystander?

-Could you tell me about your relationship with alcohol? Do you drink much, not much at all, that kind of thing? At Burgmann we have a strong belief that above all you are responsible for yourself and your behavior.

CV: Please list any academic achievements, volunteering and work experience, awards, extra-curricular activities and interests.

Letters of reference: These can be from your school, an employer, a volunteering organisation, or a sporting or community organisation. Preferably you would supply two letters but we will consider applications with one letter only. Letters of reference must be from contactable referees and clearly display their contact details.

COE (confirmation of enrolment from ANU), if available.

If the file you submit is incomplete, we will contact you and require that you re-submit it. This will delay your application being considered for a place at Burgmann.

The Principal of Burgmann College reviews all applications.
