APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: APRIL 30, 2023

 

The Hill Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Scholarships are available to any student planning to pursue a college degree, who is an active member in good standing at Hill Chapel M. B. Church.

The criteria are as follows:

• The applicant must have been involved in some activities/organizations within the church and school at least two years prior to graduation. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• The applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
• The applicant must have overall average of Satisfactory in conduct.
• The applicant must be able to verify all grades in academics and conduct by the signature of the counselor or principal at his/her school.
• The applicant must be able to express in oral and written forms why he/she wishes to attend college.
• The applicant must relate to short-term as well as long-term goals in pursuing a college degree.
• The applicant must exemplify Christ-like character at all times. What are your plans for bringing souls to Christ? Respond to this item with a brief statement.
• The applicant must possess a positive and realistic attitude about life and its misfortunes. Respond to this item statement and signature.
• The applicant must be willing to make commitment to remain drug and alcohol free. Respond to this item with brief statement and signature.
• All applicants will be interviewed by the scholarship committee
• ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED TO THE CHURCH OFFICE BY THE LAST SUNDAY IN APRIL. NO EXCEPTIONS.
