  • Thank you for your interest in adopting a Barn Buddy cat! Please complete the following form to submit your request to adopt.

    About Barn Buddies

    Barn Buddies are outdoor cats, who are not suited to living indoors as they will not use a litter box, and/or do not like being around people due to being feral/semi-feral. Characteristics of a Barn Buddy cat include. 

    • Likely will never be a "lap cat"
    • May not let you pet them
    • May not like being picked up
    • May not approach you 
    • May stray or wander off
    • May or may not get along with other resident animals
    • Will likely hide when approached

    Over time these cats may become more comfortable with you as they settle in to their new environment, but based on the behaviour observed in shelter this is unlikely.

    By adopting a Barn Buddy, you are giving these cats a job on your property and a chance at a new life that they wouldn't be able to have or enjoy inside a home. 

    Our adoptions team will be in contact with you when a Barn Buddy cat is available who may match your preferences. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a timeline on when that may be.
