Costs this year
We are committed to keeping the cost as low as possible and to providing financial assistance to those who need it. Food service costs have risen as the result of supply chain issues and labor. An adult attending the entire session from Wednesday afternoon through Sunday lunch will cost almost $310. This price will be higher if you require a fully private room. (More info below in “Seton Center Dorm Suites” section.) Basic price breakdown: $30 registration, $25 per night for room, $12 for breakfast, $16 for lunch, and $19 for dinner. A fully private room is $50/night.
· All children 18 and under who are enrolled in Children’s Program or Youth Program have all their costs covered by the Yearly Meeting. Children are free!
· Young Adult Friends (18 - 35 yr old) will receive a 50% discount.
· First time attenders will receive a 50% discount.
· If you need additional financial help, we ask that you talk to your Monthly Meeting for scholarship help. Most Meetings have the ability to help you.
Seton Center Dorm Suites
All the dorm rooms are in the Seton Center and are serviced by two elevators or stairs. The Seton Center will be the location of much of Yearly Meeting activities. We will have dorm rooms on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors.
Most all of the rooms are semi-private dorm suites. A suite consists of a locking door from the hallway into the suite, a common sitting area, vanity sink area, two bedrooms with doors for privacy, and a toilet/shower that also has a door for privacy. Here is a link to a layout of a suite: DORM Room Suite layout
Linens will be available for $17/set per person. The set includes pillow, pillowcase, sheets, wash cloth, towel and a light blanket. You must sign up for linen service in our registration form. You can also bring your own linen and not pay the linen fee.
If you are a single, you will share a suite with another person if you want the $25 per night rate. You are encouraged to find this specific person, ask them about “rooming” together and let us know in the “personal information” section. If you do not designate a roommate, then the registrar will assign roommates of the same gender. If you need a fully private room, it will cost $50/night.
Families with young children can bring pads for the floor so everyone is together. MSJ wants to limit room occupancy to 4 people in a family but will accommodate an additional child (if children are small).
Here are the Room Options:
Shared Double (Semi-Private ) This is 2 semi-private singles in a shared suite. In the personal section, you can ask for a specific person to share the suite with you or take a random person. Random suite mates will be same gender. Make sure a person agrees before you ask for sharing.
$25/person/day
Single Private Double A suite for 2 with one user paying for both rooms, one empty. This is what we have most of and will be our standard for a single.
$50/person/day
Single Private Room There are very few (3) actual singles. Contact me if this is important. First served.
$50/person/day
Triple (Shared) 2 beds in a larger room and a single in a smaller room in a shared suite. There are very few (4) actual triples. Contact me if this is important. I expect these may be best for families with 2 partners (2 private beds) to share one semi-private room and up to 3 children (1 semi-private bed, 2 on the floor). First served.
