Description: The Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership (SCRGP) is proud to promote local biodiverstiy and urban pollinators with the developement of a community based pollinator garden located on the Sand Creek Greenway in Commerce City.
Every mindfully designed garden can offer habitat, nourishment, and nesting opportunites for pollinators. Throughout this 4-week workshop, you will learn more about the Sand Creek Regional Greenway, as well as the science and art of building a pollinator garden with native Colorado plant species.
We will discuss, how to protect local pollinators, how to select native plants that are benefical for pollinators but also offer year round beauty, how to start and maintain a native plant pollinator garden, and how native plants benefit wildlife.
These workshops are offered in partnership with Denver Audobon, High Plains Environmental Center, Butterfly Pavilion, and CSU Master Gardners.
