INSTRUCTIONS
All students must complete general education requirements over the course of four years at Wesleyan. Please refer to the 2025-2026 liberal arts core curriculum available by clicking here for an outline of specific requirements. To assist us in designing a fall semester schedule appropriate for you, select your first, second and third choices of courses in each category. SCHEDULING NOTES
* 12-17 hours per semester are considered full-time enrollment. The suggested course load is 15-16 credit hours.
* Students DECLARING A MAJOR will have courses scheduled for them as required by the major and any minor program of study. Students should also indicate their preference for the categories listed below as they will be selected to fill in the remainder of the fall schedule.
* Students who DO NOT DECLARE A MAJOR will be scheduled into general education requirements along with other courses related to their interests and future plans.
An example schedule:
FYEX-101, Intro. to a Liberal Arts Education (3 credits)
ENGL-101, Composition I or ENGL-110, Written Inquiry (3 credits) depending upon placement
*Major course (3-4 credits)
*Foundational Humanities and Liberal Arts (3 credits)
*Foundational Quantitative Inquiry or Foundational Scientific Inquiry (3 credits)
*Major course hours are dependent upon first year requirements in the major. Some majors will allow for elective hours while others require specific courses to be taken during the fall semester.
