  • Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  Military Affairs Scholarship Application & Academic Incentive Program

  • The Western Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., shall annually, offer prospective college-bound students, under the age of 23, with strong academic performance and notable community involvement an Incentive Award in the amount of $500. This award shall be a function of the Western Region Military Scholarship and Academic Incentive Program.

    MILITARY AFFAIRS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION CHECKLIST 

      Complete all sections of The Military Affairs & Academic Incentive Scholarship Application
      One copy of an Official Transcript (Certified by Registrar and in a sealed Registrar Envelope)*
      Three (3) letters of recommendation (original hard copies signed, dated, & sent directly by recommender
    1. Alpha Leadership Source (chapter advisor, area or district director, chapter president)
    2. Institutional Source (college letterhead)
    3. Professional Source (letterhead)
      Resume
      Headshot Photo (2" x 2" - professional)
      List all campus/community involvement (Including offices held, honors, awards, etc.)
      Essay including goals, career ambition, and explanation as to why you should be awarded the scholarship (3 page maximum limit, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, 1” margins)
