COVID-19 Vaccination Additional Information:
We offer Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, and Novavax COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters.
As of 10/12/22, we offer bivalent boosters for Ages 6+ for Moderna with 5+ for Pfizer coming soon.
As of 7/20/22, the CDC authorized use of Novavax COVID-19 vaccine. This is for ages 18+ and is a 2 dose primary series, where the 2nd dose is 3-8 weeks after the initial dose. Persons that are moderately or severely immunocompromised should also receive a 2 dose series, given 3 weeks apart.
As of 6/17/22, the CDC expanded eligibiity for vaccination to ages 6 months+ for both Pfizer and Moderna. Willey Pharmacy can vaccinate starting at age 3.
As of 5/19/22, the CDC expanded eligibility of booster doses to everyone ages 5+ (5 months after initial Pfizer series), additionally 12+ who are immunocompromised and 50+ should receive 2nd booster dose 4 months after 1st booster.
As of 3/29/22, the CDC updated its recommendations to allow certain immunocompromised individuals (organ transplants, stem cell replacement, cancer or HIV treatment), or taking immunosuppressants).and individuals over 50 to get a 2nd booster shot 4 months after initial booster of Pfizer, Moderna or J&J.
As of 1/4/22, the CDC made the following changes to their recommendations: 1) Shortened the booster interval for Pfizer from 6 months to 5 months after the 2nd dose (Moderna booster is still 6 months after the 2nd dose and J&J is still 2 months after the 1st dose); 2) recommended that moderately or severely immunocompromised ages 5+ year receive an additional primary (i.e. 3rd) dose 28 days after their 2nd dose (reminder only Pfizer is authorized for ages 5-17); 3) Pfizer booster for ages 12-17.
As of 12/9/21, the CDC expanded Booster shot eligibility to 16 and 17 year olds for Pfizer. On 11/19/21 CDC expanded Booster Shot eligibility (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J) to All Adults (18+). You can "mix and match" your primary series and your booster, meaning your booster can be a different brand than your initial vaccination.
As of 11/4/21, we can administer Pfizer vaccine to ages 5-11. If this is for your first dose appointment, we will schedule you for your second dose while you are in the pharmacy - no need to scour the state for an extra dose on your own, hoping its close to the ideal day.
