Sunscreen Permission Form

From May to September we must provide protection against sunburn for your child(ren.) This is a requirement from licensing outlined in our Risk Reduction Plan and is considered to be best practice by our health nurse consultant. As you may know, the children go outside (weather permitting) twice a day for 30 minutes at a time. During the summer months we often take advantage of outdoor learning opportunities as well, which means your child may be outside longer than 30 minutes at a time. Compass will provide sunscreen for the children unless you have a sunscreen you would prefer to bring. You may provide sunglasses, hats and other protection for your child as well as sunscreen (please label them with your child’s name.) Sunscreen will be worn if the UV factor is 2 or greater.
