Museum New Volunteer Application Logo
  • Volunteer Application

  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the USS Hornet Sea, Air & Space Museum! We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and experiences and depend on the service of a dedicated volunteer crew for our success. Our volunteers become shipmates who are active particpants in our visitor experience and operations and we're looking forward to you becoming part of our ongoing history!

We do ask that new volunteers are able to give approximately 9-16 hours of their time a month for some volunteer positions, though we do have opportunities for those who want to contribute to the Museum but might have less time.

  • We cannot accept any volunteers under age 16.

In order to volunteer as a minor, your parent/guardian would have to pass a background check and would accompany you AT ALL TIMES onboard the ship.  If you still wish to proceed with the application, please fill out your parent/guardian's name below AND complete a second application for them.
