Welcome to our First Annual FUN RUN!
LWC Kids is pleased to host a VIRTUAL RUN for you, your friend(s), your family, and maybe even some of your pets! That's right! This run is for EVERYONE. The FUN RUN is for all people and pets aged 0-110 and every fitness level and ability. (Although, if you have a pet crocodile, we'd strongly recommend that you find a pet sitter and leave it at home).
During the entire month of May, join with your friends and family to virtually join LWC Kids' challenge to raise some funds for the Langley Food Bank. Each registration fee will include a $5 donation to the Langley Food Bank.
We've got three different race tracks that you can choose from:
Option 1: "The Fun One" - Enjoy a beautiful 1KM walk, run, dance, skip, wiggle, hop, or sprint from point A to point B with those in your bubble. Have fun, don't stress - just get outside for some fresh air! Choose your favourite park, or your favourite beach, or your only backyard, and track yourself moving your body a solid 1KM.
Option 2: "The Fun 5K" - For those looking to challenge themselves a little more, this run is a track that you can do in any of the fun ways listed in "The Fun One" but for longer. What's more fun than dancing for 1 kilometer? That's right, dancing for 5! See if you can have a few friends join you virtually for this one, and don't be afraid to do the run in a funny costume! We'd love to see your pictures!
Option 3: "The 5K Run" - For those that are more competitive, we offer you the chance to compete against others people in your age categories. See if you can compete for one of the top 3 times. Invite a few friends to join you, but make sure you keep your 6ft distance.
(*Please note, that to compete in this race, you will need to have a GPS tracking device and a way to time an accurate 5KM run. We are using the honour system, and would ask that you ensure that you're measuring your time as accurate as possible - please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you require assistance)
Please ensure that you fill out a single registration form for each, individual participant.
