I/We agree to hold Balynda Brown, Bravo K911, and its agents and/or volunteers – known hereafter as Bravo K911 harmless in attempts in locating my missing pet(s).
Furthermore, I understand the following:
That participating & observing search operations for missing pets involves certain risks, including but not limited to physical contact with animals, extreme weather, dangerous terrain and other conditions. These risks include but are not limited to injury, death, animal bites, etc.
I agree to indemnify, defend, & hold harmless Bravo K911 from any claim by myself or third parties that may arise out of the search for my pet.
I hereby release Bravo K911 from any liability whatsoever, whether my pet is or is not located.
If I accompany Bravo K911 on the search, I assume any & all risks involved whether or not they have been explained to me. I agree to comply with all local ordinances including those laws in regard to trespassing during the search operation & take full responsibility for myself, my family or individuals I may ask to voluntarily assist in the search for my pet. Search dogs will not be allowed to trespass onto private property without the property owners’ permission, which is the responsibility of the pet owner to attain. Bravo K911 will not be held responsible for the actions of any person outside their own team involved in a search.
The health and safety of our dogs will be held first and foremost in every case. The Bravo K911 K9 teams will do everything they can to access the areas that your pet may have traveled. However the safety of our teams, those attending the search, and your missing pet is our top priority. We may not be able to enter an area if it is found to increase risk to any of the above parties. There may be instances when it is decided not to use them based on the situation and/or environment.
If weather conditions are such that the K9 is subject to overheating, the dog will track in increments of 15 – 20 minutes at a time, then will be given a short break to cool down. If temperatures are excessively hot, the Trailing Dog will only be deployed to spot check areas of interest. Discretion is up to the K9 Handler as to the length of time the dog can endure the heat.
All reports, photos, aerials, diagrams, documentation and video generated by Bravo K911 are the sole property of the company. At times photos and stories are used in marketing and documentary features.
Tracking (https://bravok911.com/tracking)
Although it is always our goal to get as close to your missing pet as possible, tracking does not typically result in a walk up find of your missing pet. Tracking is an important tool that increases the efficiency of the other techniques we will be teaching you. Tracking answers many of the unknowns, such as which direction your pet traveled, where your pet is likely to be located, etc.
The following are possible outcomes of the search:
- Recovery of your pet
- Information regarding your pets activities/travels since they went missing. This will influence our action plan, as we continue to coach you towards bringing your pet home with additional techniques.
- Our search may find that your pet has most likely met with an accident or some other tragedy that most likely caused his/her death
- In very rare cases we may be unable to detect what has happened to your pet due to a variety of reasons which may include but are not limited to; lack of a verifiable scent for your pet in the area, poor or contaminated scent article, possible sightings that are unverifiable based on the time allowed, etc.
There are many factors that affect the scent and a tracking dogs ability to easily track your pet. Time, weather, heat, strong winds, heavy rains, ice, snow, smoke, traffic, or heavy contamination may contribute to a poor scent trail.
The dogs are trainined to follow the most recent scent trail they can find of your missing pet, however if they are lost within an area that they frequest often it may be difficult to establish a defined trail. For example: An outdoor access cat who roams the neighborhood daily that is lost from its home located within it's normal territory.
Equipment
In the event we determine it is warranted to use trail cameras, traps or other equipment please be advised the owner of the lost pet will be responsible for all equipment used. If any equipment is lost, damaged or stolen the owner of the lost pet will be responsible to replace the damaged or stolen equipment in kind.
All "live" traps used during active Bravo K911 cases will be monitored at all times, either in person or with the use of a cellular camera. Any living creature must be removed from a trap within minutes to insure it's safety. The owner of the missing pet is responsible to enforce this requirement at all times.
Scheduling a Track
Not all cases require a track. In the event that yours does, the Bravo K911 team will work on getting you scheduled ASAP. While waiting for a tracking our team will start coaching you on proven techniques that are critical to getting your pet home, with and without a track.
At the time of scheduling your track, we will request payment of mileage as a deposit to hold your spot on our schedule. Mileage will be added at $1.75 per mile. Mileage will be charged for each field visit. The tracking fee will be due prior to the start of the track.
If the events of your case call for the track to be rescheduled, or canceled all payments will be refunded if the change is made prior to our departure for your location. If the change occurs after we have started our trip, the mileage traveled cannot be reimbursed.
