  • V. Eligibility Requirements

    A SSBR scholarship, up to the amount of € 2,500.00, is meant to cover the yearly tuition rates required to attend the Swiss School of Business Research. The aim of the SSBR ScholarshipProgramme is to allow motivated and successful students, who lack the needed financial resources, to pursue higher education. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, a student must meet both financial and merit requirements, as established below.
  • Income requirements
    • Total household income must not exceed US$10,000 per year.

    Merit requirements
    • Current college students: GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
    • High school graduates who are enrolling in college: minimum yearly average must be
    85% or higher.

    IMPORTANT. Attach copies of the following documents to this application:
    • A document certifying current enrollment in high school or college (on the letterhead of
    the school/college)
    • A document certifying current scores (on the letterhead of the school/college)
    • A document certifying total household income
    Please make sure to meet both Income and Merit requirements before submitting your application, and attach the required documentation. Applicants who do not meet the eligibility requirements and/or fail to submit the required documentation will not be considered.

  • VI. Scholarship Regulations

  • By accepting this scholarship, recipients agree to participate in marketing and promotional activities for the Swiss School of Business Research, including but not limited to providing testimonials, participating in interviews, and appearing in materials for both digital and print media.  Recipients are expected to cooperate fully with the school's marketing team when requested, to ensure that their experiences are effectively shared across our platforms such as the website, social media, and other outreach channels.

    Students will be required to provide SSBR with proper documentation according to the terms and conditions that will be notified to the recipients upon the payment of the first portion of the scholarship. If a student fails to: (i) provide the requested documentation;(ii) take part in at least 80% of the classes in a given semester; or (iii) maintain the minimum merit and/or income requirements throughout each semester, SSBR reserves the right to revoke the scholarship and withhold funds for the next semester.

    SSBR reserves the right to award scholarships to the most deserving students, based on the above mentioned requirements. Selections are made at SSBR’s sole discretion, and decisions regarding scholarship recipients are final. Scholarships are assigned for a period of two consecutive semesters and will not automatically renew for successive terms. Students seeking financial support for another year will need to submit a new application. SSBR reserves the right to award scholarships on a continuous basis, upon availability of funds.

    As part of your application for the International Peacekeepers Scholarship for the Master in Peace and Humanitarian Management at the Swiss School of Business Research (SSBR), you are required to submit an essay. This essay is a crucial component of your application, providing a platform to demonstrate your passion, commitment, and suitability for a scholarship aimed at nurturing the peacemakers of tomorrow. Below are the detailed instructions and guidelines for your essay submission.

    Essay Topic:

    "The Role of Education in Fostering Global Peace and Humanitarian Action"

    Essay Objectives:

    Your essay should explore the impact of education on promoting peace and humanitarian efforts globally. Consider the following questions as a guide to frame your response:

    How can education contribute to the prevention of conflicts and the promotion of sustainable peace?
    What role do educational institutions play in shaping the leaders who will drive humanitarian actions?
    How can the knowledge and skills acquired through a Master in Peace and Humanitarian Management be applied to real-world peacebuilding and humanitarian challenges?


    Submission Guidelines:

    Word Limit: Your essay should be between 1,000 to 1,500 words. Please ensure you stay within this range to demonstrate your ability to express complex ideas concisely.


    Formatting: Submit your essay in a Word document or PDF format. Use Times New Roman, 12-point font size, double-spaced. Ensure your document is clearly labelled with your full name and the title of the essay.
    Structure: Your essay should have a clear introduction, body, and conclusion. Begin with an introduction that outlines the importance of the topic, followed by a body that delves into your arguments and perspectives, and conclude with a summary of your key points and a reflective statement on your personal viewpoint.


    Originality: Your essay must be entirely your own work and should not contain any plagiarised content. References to the ideas and words of others must be appropriately cited using a recognised citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).


    Personal Reflection: Include a section in your essay that reflects on your personal achievements and experiences related to peace and humanitarian efforts. Highlight how these experiences have prepared you for the Master in Peace and Humanitarian Management and why they make you a suitable candidate for the scholarship.
