I understand thatparticipant's name will be embarking on the Central Coast Aquarium’s spring camp program, parts of which will be conducted in a wild and natural environment. I further understand that he/she/they will be participating in a program that has inherent dangers including, but not limited to, irregular and unstable walking surfaces (including stairs and sand); wet and slippery surfaces; variable sea and weather conditions; wildlife (terrestrial and marine); low and irregular lighting; equipment; and obstructions. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless from liability the Central Coast Aquarium and Port San Luis Harbor District including agents and employees of those entities by reason of any accident, injury, or damages to persons or property that I, my dependents, or any other person under my custody may suffer. I understand the aforementioned entities are not responsible for transportation to or from the program location(s).
The Central Coast Aquarium occasionally takes photos and/or video during our programs that may include your child. This media is used for displays, brochures, educational purposes, and our website. By checking the acknowledgement and signing this form you hereby grant the Central Coast Aquarium permission to use photos or video of your child for any of the above purposes.
Drop-OffDaily drop-off will take place at the main gate of the Outdoor Discovery Park. (ADA-accessible drop-off will take place at the upper gate near the basketball court.) Camp staff will be stationed at the entrance to check in your student.
Gates will close 15 minutes after the camp’s start time. Please call ahead if you are running late.
Pick-UpCampers must be signed out by a parent or legal guardian at the end of each day. If someone other than the parent/guardian will be picking up your camper, the camp director must be notified in writing prior to pick-up.
We know that parking can be difficult in Avila! Campers will be brought to the aquarium’s front lawn at pick-up time. Temporary parking will be available while you sign out your camper.
Late Pick-Up PolicyCampers must be picked up promptly each day. In the event of an emergency that necessitates late pick-up, please notify us before pick-up time. If no prior notice is given, fees will be incurred for students picked up 15+ minutes late. Payment of late fees will be due at the time of pick-up, no exceptions.
