You will make a difference in a patient’s life by providing hands-on nursing care to achieve quality outcomes that allow patients to successfully and safely transition home and back into the community.

Rehab nurses wear many hats: teacher, caregiver, collaborator, and patient advocate.

• The nurse’s goal is to assist individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function.
• Help individuals meet their discharge goals after they have suffered a debilitating event.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary healthcare specialty that helps patients participate in individualized rehab by working with teams to establish specific goals for independence.
• Provides patient and family centered care.
