Description
The GovCon Accounting Summit is designed to be the premier educational event for all things government contract accounting. We invite industry partners and software vendors to join us in providing a meaningful educational experience backed by NASBA CPE credits.
Dates
July 20-22, 2021
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EDT
Presentations
Presentation slots are 60 minutes in length, allowing for 50 minutes of education and 10 minutes of Q&A. Presentations will fall into one of two tracks: Education or Software Demo.
Benefits of Presenting
In addition to the networking benefits, you will enjoy:
- Complimentary registration to the Summit,
- Publication of your session summary and PowerPoint presentation on the event website, and
- Inclusion in LBP publications, expanding your business’ footprint and providing further opportunities for public speaking.
Please note that neither LBP nor the Summit will reimburse presenters for any of their expenses related to presentations or workshops at the Summit.
Presentation Requirements
Presentations are expected to make significant contributions to the professional dialogue and development of summit attendees. Therefore, we require that all presentations must be:
- focused on GovCon accounting,
- presented on the Summit’s official PowerPoint template,
- recorded and available for viewing of all Summit attendees,
- available for download (.ppt or .pdf),
- eligible for CPE (four polling questions are required),
- in the spirit of facilitation and education of both attendees and presenters, and
- not delivered in a way that is seen to be a direct sales pitch.
Software demonstrations, which are inherently more sales oriented, shall make reasonable efforts to focus on software functionality and how it addresses a requirement for one or more of the business systems mentioned in the FAR.
While this is a virtual event, we encourage presenters to use varying approaches such as panel discussions and case studies to meet the different learning styles of attendees.
Selection Criteria
Presentations that meet the above requirements will be evaluated for the clarity of the proposal, the strength of the learning objectives, the timeliness and relevance of the topic to GovCon accounting professionals, the thought-provoking and practical value of the subject, and the overall conference content.
Sponsorship will NOT impact our selection of presenters.
