Pricing Disclosure

The current rate starts at $ 0.035 per square inch. This includes top and bobbin thread as well as loading fees. Thread changes or custom order threads are an additional charge. The density of the quilting pattern will affect the fee. The denser the quilting the more the cost will increase. Custom Quilting starts at a minimum of $ 0.06 per square inch. My base fee is $50.00.

Batting Preferences: Yes, you can supply your own batting. Due to pricing variability batting prices will be listed on my website and updated as they change. I will email you with any changes to fees before I begin your quilt:

Thread Choices:
Backing Fabric: In order to give you the best results please ensure that your backing is 8" wider and 8" longer than your quilt top. This gives me 4" of extra margin on each side of your quilt top for pinning and attaching the backing to the leaders. Your backing may be bigger than this but NOT smaller. If your backing is directional or requires special treatment please mark with a pin or leave me a note. I DO NOT ACCEPT FUZZY BLANKETS AS QUILT BACKINGS. They do not quilt well. If you chose to use a sheet as backing for your quilt I will not guarantee stitch quality on the back of the quilt.

Please piece my enclosed backing for an additional fee($15.00 per seam).My backing has the seams pressed open and is ready to go
Quilting Design

Please include any information that you'd like to share with me about your quilt and or the recipient. This information will help me when I am choosing your edge to edge or custom designs.
Message: Please feel free to add any comments or questions that you need answered or you feel may help me. Please include any quilting preferences that you dislike (big quilting, dense quilting etc). Also include any special backing instructions (directional, centred etc).

Shipping

Not Required. Will pick up/drop off at Cotton Candy in GP.Ship via Canada Post express post box or by your carrier of choicePick up / Drop Off at Kim's Home (Porch drop off/pick up only)
Quilt Drop Off/Pick Up (for non-shipped tops)

Cotton Candy Quilts & Sewing is my drop off and pick up location. You may also choose to drop off or pick up at my home. If you make this option please be aware that I will not take time to visit. If you need a consult about your quilt please text me to ask for a 15 minute appointment. Please place your quilt top/backing/batting in a bag or clear Ziplock carry bag (never use a garbage bag as bad things have been known to happen to them). On the container please label the outside with the following: your name, my name (Kim Boisson) and your cell number. Please text me before you drop off your quilt to the store or before you come to my home. Please text me for my address. Thanks!
Once you submit your form you will receive a Thank You email. Scroll to the bottom. There will be a "What Next" link. Information about my quilting process is attached. The thank you page also has a "fill again" section if you are submitting more than one quilt.
