Students wishing to apply for HEERF must be Title IV eligible and must have been actively enrolled in a traditional, on-campus educational program at the time of the campus disruption. For the purposes of this policy, the initial date of campus disruption is defined as March 13, 2020.
Eligible students wishing to receive HEERF funds must submit this Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Application to the SFBC Office of Financial Aid by 12:00 Noon Eastern Time on Friday, April 30, 2021.
By completing and signing this Application for HEERF funds, you are attesting, under penalty of the law, that the expenses and information detailed in this application are true and accurate, and you must be able to produce documentation of the expenses incurred, if requested.
The awarding and disbursement of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds – Student Share (“HEERF”) policy will remain in effect until one of the following circumstances occurs: (1) all available funds have been exhausted, (2) federal regulations require a policy revision, or (3) this policy otherwise expires. This policy is currently set to expire on Friday, April 30, 2021, at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time.
Eligibility Criteria
For consideration, students must meet the following federally established eligibility criteria at the time of applying:
- Must be enrolled in the Spring 2020 semester for which the student was requesting aid
- Must be a U.S. Citizen who is a degree-seeking student
- Must NOT be enrolled in a fully online program (does not apply to those taking their courses online due to COVID-19 restrictions)
- Must be an aid applicant that is eligible for Title IV aid (undergraduate AND graduate)
- Enrollment has been impacted by COVID-19
- MUST complete the application form before 12:00 NOON on Friday, April 30, 2021.

Funding may be awarded to cover expenses related to:
- SFBC Tuition
- Course materials
- Technology
- Food
- Housing
- Health care
- Childcare
Students could not have received funding for costs already reimbursed/funded by SFBC.
