Produced by the Greater Des Moines Partnership, The Festival begin in October 2004 in the Historic East Village of Downtown Des Moines. Over the years, The Festival expanded its vendors, programming and entertainment and continued to see more guests enjoying the activities each year. To accommodate the growth, The Festival moved onto the Downtown DSM bridges for several years and in 2017 expanded into its current home in Western Gateway Park. Today, more than 90,000 guests visit The Festival each year.
The World Food & Music Festival is seeking talented and unique entertainers to create a one-of-a-kind experience for guests attending the 2021 Festival. Interested parties should read the enclosed information and submit the application by Friday, May 28.
2021 Festival Dates, Hours & Location:
When: Friday, Sept. 17, Saturday, Sept. 18, Sunday, Sept. 19
Hours: Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. | Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Where: Western Gateway Park, Downtown Des Moines, Iowa
Application Requirements & Process:
Applications are due by Friday, May 28.
Applicants will be notified of acceptance or elimination on Friday, June 11.
Accepted Entertainers must submit a W-9, signed liability waiver, contract and stage plots to The Festival no longer than Friday, July 9 or their performance may be cancelled.
Applicants must have a valid email address to participate as all communications before, during and after The Festival are conducted via email.
