TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT FOR TEMPORARY WORKERS
Your employer will be an outsourced umbrella payroll company who will be processing your weekly wages. You will be engaging in a Zero-Hour Contract.
1. Assignment
The Temporary Worker, prior to and during every Assignment and afterwards where appropriate, he/she will:
a. Provide the required documentation.
b. co-operate with the Client's staff and accept the direction, supervision and control of any responsible person in the Client's
organisation;
c. observe any relevant rules and regulations of the Client's establishment to which attention has been drawn or which the Temporary Worker might reasonably be expected to ascertain;
d. unless arrangements have been made to the contrary, conform to the normal hours of work in force at the Client's establishment;
e. take all reasonable steps to safeguard his own safety and the safety of any other person who may be present or affected by his/her actions on the Assignment and comply with the health and safety policies of the Client;
f. not engage in any conduct detrimental to the interest of the Client;
g. not at any time divulge to any person, nor use for his own or any other person's benefit, any confidential information relating to
the Client's or the Employment Business's employees, business affairs, transactions or finances. This is an enduring obligation, which continues after completion of the assignment.
h. agrees to notify 5 working days in advance of his/her intention to terminate an Assignment. The notice should be in writing or telephonically to NL Recruitment.
i. In some cases, the Temporary worker has to complete a minimum of 2 - 5 weeks* continuous employment on assignment in order to receive remuneration for the initial training.
j. The temporary worker accepts that the client has the right to terminate employment with immediate effect during the probation period.
* The consultant will specify the delay in training pay depending on the relevant client.
2. Timesheets & Remuneration
a. Each hour worked during an Assignment (to the nearest quarter hour) to be paid weekly in arrears.
b. Deductions will be made in respect of PAYE National Insurance Contributions and Income Tax of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 and any other deductions, which your employer the outsourced umbrella company is required to make by law
c. Holiday entitlement is accrued once training is completed and will be paid out upon written request.
3. You give your consent to pass your details onto the relevant third party umbrella employer for employment and payrolling purposes.
