Pretzel Kids is a one-stop shop for kids yoga. Our business is fueled by our subscription-based, branded platform empowering members to teach our licensed yoga and mindfulness classes in their communities and online.
Since launching our web platform in late fall 2019, we've added teachers nationwide and are growing a brand centered around the success of our instructors. When our Pretzel Kids teachers succeed, so do the kids, schools and families they serve.
About the position
We're looking for a Community Lead and Marketing Assistant to grow our community, define and execute on our teacher acquisition strategy, and own the relationship with our member instructors. We're looking for an exceptional individual who is eager to learn and help us build a thriving community and kids yoga brand. This will include engaging with members, onboarding new members, seeking out members around the country, and often being their first and ongoing point of contact. The position will also include helping to create an affiliate and influencer program, writing teacher email newsletters, contributing articles to our blog, and assisting with social media.
We're an early-stage startup, which means you'll be our first community lead team member. You'll work directly with our founder, yet this role is designed for a self-starter with big ideas and the ability to jump in and get things done without a lot of hand-holding. You'll also have the unique opportunity to shape our culture, innovate on new programs, and help us build a top-notch brand in the children’s yoga space.
What you'll do
Address member concerns and be the go-to person for our members.
Onboard new teachers to our website and set up their profiles.
Take ownership of our ‘Lunch and Learn’ biweekly Zoom meetings by seeking out vibrant guest speakers and scheduling and promoting to our members via our private group on Circle. Curate new and improved community programs with value-added events.
Schedule events for our Facebook group such as Lives and/or Zoom workshops.
Boost engagement on our FB group and in our online Circle community.
Write articles for our blog based on teacher feedback and interviews.
Create and post to LinkedIn, Google My Business, Facebook and other social media sites. Post in Facebook groups to build our brand awareness and attract new teachers.
Take ownership of an affiliate program.
Interview and survey members to gain insight into what we can improve upon. Dial into data to determine what’s working and what’s not.
Help plan and execute sales strategy and outreach to new teachers - and be the first point of contact to discuss Pretzel Kids, our training and our membership/licensing program.
10-20 hours per week of remote work.
Our ideal candidate
You've been in online communities and/or helped run one before.
You've created content for something, whether it's for blogs, social media, ads, email newsletters, or other.
You want to work with an early-stage startup and don’t mind being thrown into new tasks at a moment’s notice.
Familiarity with WordPress, Trello, ConvertKit, Woo Commerce, Circle.so, LinkedIn, Printful.com, Google My Business. You also know how to use a CMS (we use Kontent.ai).
Knowledge of yoga and a desire to improve kids’ lives would be awesome.
Most importantly: You have the potential to grow with us and the ability to deliver. We are starting something new, so a willingness to learn as we grow is key.
How You’ll Be Paid
Compensation for this role is an agreed-upon stipend for a set amount of hours/projects per week.
