INJURY RISK: Whilst all due care is taken, I am aware that participation in dance classes and other organised activities in conjunction with Bodies in Motion Dance School could result in some possible personal injury. Despite precautions taken by the studio, accidents and injuries may occur. By agreeing to this release statement, I assume all risks related to the use of any and all spaces used by Bodies in Motion Dance School. I agree to release from responsibility Bodies in Motion Dance School, including all teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities used by said entity from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future. I will not hold Bodies in Motion Dance School liable for any personal injury including: scrapes, bruises, cuts, sprains, fractures, broken bones, concussions or any personal property damage/loss, which may occur on the premises before, during or after classes. This is a compulsory term of enrolment.*

2025 End of Year Production

Each year, Bodies in Motion Dance School produces a professional dance production, providing students the chance to showcase their talents to the local community. After over 24 years of successful productions—including sold-out shows at the Sheraton in Port Douglas from 2016 to 2022—the school has outgrown local venues. In response to rising costs and growing demand, we transitioned in 2023 to the Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC), a world-class venue that offers our dancers a truly memorable performance experience. Our first production at CPAC was a great success, and we look forward to building on that momentum in 2025.

Participation in the end-of-year production is optional but highly encouraged, as it offers students of all ages the opportunity to grow in confidence, develop teamwork skills, and celebrate their hard work in a professional setting. Adult dancers, in particular, often find the experience especially rewarding—not only as a personal achievement but as a chance to form strong bonds with fellow performers. The rehearsal process fosters a unique sense of camaraderie, with many adult participants forming lasting friendships and discovering a renewed (or even new) passion for performance and self-expression. It’s a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone—regardless of dance background—can enjoy being part of something creative and inspiring.

We respect the decision of those who choose not to participate, and non-performing students are always welcome to continue attending classes and learning routines alongside their peers.
Participation in the End of Year Production is optional. However, we strongly encourage it, as it celebrates the achievements and learning of the year. If you would like to participate, please ensure that decisions and fees are submitted to BIM by the end of July 2025. These fees can also form part of your payment plan if you so choose.*

I understand that I will receive an invoice for the concert expenses in Term 2, with a payment or decision deadline typically by the end of July 2025. Participation will be discussed in class, and if I choose not to take part, a credit note will be applied to my concert invoice. Adults are usually given a little extra time to decide, as we need time to source costumes, but we’ll ensure a decision is made before any orders are placed.
CONCERT LEVY INCLUSIONS: The concert levy includes access to professional photos and a video recording of the show, as well as a concert shirt. This shirt will be worn throughout Term 4 in the lead-up to the End of Year Production, and again on photo day, during rehearsals, and for the concert itself.Please select your preferred size from the options below. Note that the concert shirts are unisex and have a generous fit—for example, a child who usually wears a size 10 may find a smaller size more suitable.*
