Welcome to the Yesod Jewish Learning Fund group application form.

Through this fund Yesod supports Jewish community organizations in Europe in developing the applied Jewish learning of their teams.

You can apply for funds of a minimum of $250 (USD) up to a maximum of $2,000 (USD).

Funds will be awarded to Jewish community organizations to provide Jewish learning to employees, all of whom need to meet the criteria below:

• Work in a paid, professional capacity for 16 hours a week or more, in Jewish organizations of all types, that primarily work with, and develop, Jewish communities. This could include, but is not limited to youth organizations, Jewish Community Centres (JCCs), synagogues, schools, welfare and cultural organizations.
• Are based in a European country. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from the Former Soviet Union outside of the Baltic states.
• Have at least 6 months of experience working professionally in the Jewish community.
• Within each calendar year applicants may receive funding of up to 2000 USD in total, through one or multiple grants.
• Funds will not be granted for training/learning opportunities that have already taken place.

All people listed should be paid Jewish community professionals working at least 16 hours a week. If this is not the case please make a note of this. Please note you are required to have appropriate consent to provide Yesod with this this information. 

Will the time needed to undertake this learning opportunity be treated as regular hours by the organization or will some or all of the participants be required to take vacation days?

NB: It is important to Yesod that employers, wherever possible, support these programmes by giving at least some of the time needed to count as work time rather than vacation days. Support from your organization in this way is one of the criteria that we take into account in our decision making process.

We understand in the current Covid-19 circumstances that a financial contribution may be limited.
