WHAT IS NOT COVERED: READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A CLAIM
Liners - Rips, cuts and or holes are not covered under the manufacturers warranty. The manufacturers warranty covers seam separations ONLY. If you have a slow leak this is NOT a seam separation. Seam separations typically happen within the first few weeks to months. Slow leaks we advise you set up a leak check service to determine where the leak is coming from and to patch the area. Leak check services can be set up in the store and cost $229. If it is deemed the leak is from a manufacturers defect, you will be reimbursed for the leak check service. A leak check service MUST BE PREFORMED on any warranty claim before the claim is processed. If a leak check result is not attached to the warranty claim your claim will be denied.
Pools: Rust and corrosion is not covered under the manufacturers warranties. Rusting and corrosion can happen from outside elements or the misuse of chemicals which cause the metals in swimming pools to break down. Proper maintenance is always recommended on a swimming pool to prevent rust and corrosion. You must file a claim with the pool manufacturer BEFORE filing a claim with Island Recreational. You may visit any store to determine the manufacturer of your pool.
Winter Covers: Rips or eyelets pulled out are not covered under the manufacturers warranty. Winter covers are designed to keep water and debris out of your pool. You must properly maintain your winter cover by removing excess water from the cover. Covers are NOT meant to hold hundreds of pounds of water or ice.
Damage from outside elements. Cracking of plastic parts are not covered under any manufacturer's warranty. Do not leave your equipment outside during winter months. Be sure to bring your pool equipment into a climate controled area for the harsh winter months.
Other damages from outside elements such as trees to swimming pools and or liners are not cover. You should contact your homeowners insurance for these types of damages.
Improper use of a winter cover. The improper use of a winter cover will damage your swimming pool causing walls to pull in and create stress on the pool structure. Swimming pools, by design are made to withstand elements, however not properly maintaining your winter cover by leaving standing water on it or by not maintaining proper water levels (just below the skimmer or higher) will damage your swimming pool wich is not covered under any manufacturer's warranty.
Falure to keep water in your swimming pool: Removing water from your swimming pool is NEVER recomended. Empting a swimming pool will cause the liner to shrink and pull off the wall or worse, your pool collapsing. You should NEVER remove the water from your swimming pool. Liner shrinkage and or liners falling into the pool as a direct result from this will not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty.
