Sign-up to join a group of 6-10 other community members in a small Learning Circle on Race. Each Learning Circle is guided by two Facilitators who have gone through a custom training for this program. The Facilitators aren't necessarily experts, academics, or have special prior knowledge about race and equity. They are community members who, like you, are willing to lend their time, energy, and action to seed real change that comes from personal learning, reflection, and conversation.
-
Schedule:
Learning Circles will meet 5 times between May 2nd and June 20th (with most starting after May 9th). Each meeting is 2 hours long. There will be a community-wide event on June 13th (more details to come). Learning Circles will use Zoom or a similar platform to meet.
-
We ask for your racial identity with intentional purpose.
-
We know from our past cohorts that Black or Brown Learning Circle participants prefer being in a Learning Circle with at least one Black or Brown Facilitator. We have included the Facilitators' racial identities, as provided by them, to refer to as you sign up.
-
We will prioritize having racially balanced groups, when that is possible. If we need to make changes to your selection, we will reach out to you before doing so.
After the sign-up window is closed, your Faciliators will contact you and the rest of your Learning Circle to arrange the meeting schedule and exchange contact info. If you are not able to work with your Learning Circle's schedule, we will do our best to find you a new Circle if there are still spots available.
