Operations
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are providing services via Zoom and other approved platforms to help do our part in social distancing. While customers are responsible for attending appointments in a timely manner, our staff tries our best to ensure the appointment time is kept. Following is some helpful information to keep operations moving smoothly.
To ensure quality care for our community, we ask that you make arrangements to start your session on time. This allows for a 53-55-minute session and some time for our staff to attend to personal needs in between sessions. Customers are responsible for creating and maintaining a quiet and confidential space for the session to take place. Please ask our staff for assistance if you have questions or concerns about creating a counseling environment. Appointments will be canceled without notice if appropriate arrangements are not met. All appointments require video unless other arrangements have been made with the staff.
Appointment Expectations
To help those new to distance counseling and intervention services, we have outlined some helpful tips. The ability to create a calm, quiet, and confidential environment is required for sessions to take place. Please check your surroundings for distractions, phone on silent, silencing incoming email notifications, away from family and pets, and other environmental distractions. Stable internet connection is recommended so places such as the car are not ideal for sessions to take place as well as offer limited privacy. Appointments for minors have various parental/guardian involvement based on the child’s needs and abilities.
