Teen (and Pre Teen) Social Events

All local teens are welcome to join us for Teen Skate Nights (age 13-17), Themed Teen Social Nights (age 13-17) and Club Nights (age 11-15). No commitment necessary, sign up for whichever dates work for you. Most events are $20 or purchase a 6 event punch card for $110 and drop into any 6 events of your choice (not for use for Semi-Formal Dance).
Calling all 11 to 17 year olds looking for fun, social events made just for teens and pre teens!
Make friends, bring friends, skate, dance, play arcade games, enjoy themed event nights or just hang out.

No refunds for no shows.

$20 includes as applicable: Cal Skate entry plus skates as necessary. All themed activities and games also included.

- Snack booth and arcade will be open at additional costs as desired.
- All 13 to 17 year olds are welcome but those who can not uphold a high level of KINDNESS AND RESPECT will be asked to leave early or not to return at the discretion of management with no refund.
- TEENS ONLY. No younger siblings or parents may stay during these events. Events are supervised by Cal Skate and Thrive staff. Exceptions might be made for 12 year olds. Contact Thrive if this is desired.
- MASKS OPTIONAL. Teens may choose whether to wear them or not. No teasing for wearing or not wearing masks will be tolerated. Staff will not enforce use of masks or social distancing.
- NO violence, drugs, alcohol, sexual activity, disrespectful or threatening activities, vandalism, theft, destroying of property or name calling.
- Our staff will monitor for these behaviors and teens will be sent home early and/or asked not to return at the discretion of management.
- Our staff will not "baby guard" or monitor for behaviors such as phone use, bad word use (as long as it is not directed at another person), clothing choices or song requests. Likewise we will not interfere with minor positive displays of affection such as hand holding, slow dancing or kissing done with consent. We will not allow "making out" or sexual activity that goes beyond what is normally acceptable in public spaces. We will not tolerate any form of unwanted physical contact.
- Once inside teens are at an event they are asked to stay until it ends unless a parent/guardian ok's leaving early. At the end of the event teens are no longer in the care or supervision of Thrive staff.

COVID MITIGATION
We believe our teens need real, in-person activities and socialization now more than ever! The majority of our program participants are mask-less.
- Teens are welcome to wear or not wear a mask at any time. We do not tolerate any teasing, shaming or negativity around mask-wearing or non-wearing.
- Staff will not be monitoring for social distancing. Teens are welcome to make choices regarding their interactions. Parents should let their teens know if they want them to follow any guidelines. Parents should be aware that the staff will not monitor or enforce masks or social distancing.
- We can not guarantee your teen will not contract or be in contact with COVID during Teen Social Time.
Public/Private Event
These are private events ran by Thrive. Some are hosted at Cal Skate.
- This event is open to the public, as in all 13 to 17 year olds are welcome to register, but is still considered a private event organized by Thrive.
- PRE REGISTRATION complete will all emergency and parent contact information and payment is REQUIRED for attendance.
- Thrive, as the event coordinator, holds all rights to ask participants to leave and/or not return for future events at their discretion.
- I understand these are private events hosted by Thrive at Cal Skate.
- I will talk to my teens about showing kindness and respect at these events and understand that if they don't I will be asked to pick them up early and/or told they can not attend future events.
- I understand there is no refund for teens being asked to leave early and/or not return.
- I understand there is no refund for no-shows.
- I understand that Thrive, Cal Skate, and staff of either are not encouraging or enforcing mask-wearing or social distancing and further that most participants will not be following those guidelines.
- I know I may encourage my teen to make masking and social distancing choices as desired and understand it is up to my teen whether or not they follow my wishes once at the event.
- I understand and accept the risks associated with them attending an event where many will choose not to wear masks or social distance.
- I understand and accept that Thrive and Cal Skate can not guarantee my teen will not contract or be in contact with COVID.

Teen Social Time brought to you by Thrive Homeschool Program has permission to secure emergency transportation for my teen in the event of an illness or injury which requires emergency treatment. All attempts will be made to reach families first as is possible. The emergency transportation service will determine the facility to which my teen will be transported. *

I understand that participants at Teen Social Time are expected to uphold a high level of respectful and kind behavior and that the Directors reserves the right to excuse participants with or without refund due to behavior that is dangerous or disrespectful of other participants or our environment and supplies. The decision, made by the administrators of Teen Social Time, to excuse participants usually comes with warnings but in some cases the decision can be made the day of disrespectful, dangerous behavior.
