My Guarantee

   Cake It Away, Baby! Will provide a professionally decorated dessert as stated in the form. I appreciate your business and am honored that you have chosen me to help you celebrate your special day. I guarantee that the size, shape, flavor, and general design elements agreed upon will be met as outlined. If you are not satisfied with your order please let me know prior to or during pickup. Once your order is accepted I will not consider a refund.

Allergen Disclaimer

  Please be aware that I operate a home-based cottage bakery. My ingredients are all processed on the same equipment and despite strict cleaning procedures there is always a risk of allergens.

Design Variation

Although I will make every attempt to provide an exact design and to match colors, custom cakes are a work of art. It may not be possible to match an exact shade of a color, but I do my best to come as close as possible. The final product may be subject to slight variations. Also be aware that exposure to light/tempurature can cause colors to change. I will not offer a discount if that exact shade of a color is not achieved or is changed due to tempurature or light.

Care & Handling

Cake It Away, Baby! Is not responsible for any damage that occurs after pickup or by another party. Store all items in their original packaging unless directed to do otherwise. Individual care instructions will be relayed to you and feel free to ask any questions about care and storage before and after pickup.

Pickup Terms

Pickup time will be decided no later than 48 hours prior to the pickup date. Any changes will be subject to availability. 

Deposit, Payment, Cancellations

Payment in full is required for orders up to $50. Orders $51+ Require a 50% deposit. Any orders made within 1 week of the date must be paid in full at the time of booking regardless of the amount. This secures your date. Orders with a deposit will have to pay remaining balance 1 month before your pickup date or your order will be cancelled without refund. Any design changes must be made no later than 2 weeks prior to your pickup date. 

All deposits are non-refundable. There will be no refund for orders cancelled after 2 weeks. For cancellations more than 2 weeks in advance 50% of the full amount will be given back.

If your order must be rescheduled, it can be moved to a date of your choosing pending availability with 2 weeks notice once without any additional fees. If there is less than 2 weeks notice or your order is resheduled multiple times, I will discuss a case-by-case basis solution.

A rush fee will be charged for orders or changes to orders with less than 2 weeks notice. 

Refund Policy

Cake It Away, Baby! Will not offer refunds for custom orders that meet its quality standards once it has been "accepted" by you or another designated party.

Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Please note that every batch of cake is taste tested for quality. My cakes are baked from scratch in small batches. Keep in mind that variety in temperature and humidity may impact the flavor, overall design, or texture to some degree. Please understand that I cannot control changes in flavor or texture or changes in color or shape due to weather conditions.

Photos and Marketing

I respect the privacy of all my clients. I will not disclose the identity of my clients (photographs of people, names, personal info, or contract details) without your permission. I reserve the rights to use photos of the products I make on my social media, in my portfolio, and for marketing.
