The Tu Es Belle “Big Screen” - Cultural Edition Scholarship is granted annually by Project T.E.A.C.H. Inc., a non-profit organization. The objective of the award is to grant need-based scholarships to high school graduating Seniors who demonstrate excellence in character and/or is making a difference by helping others through community service in church or school (the arts, music, poetry and/or S.T.E.M. projects).
A minimum of a one time $500 scholarship will be awarded
BACKGROUND OF PROJECT T.E.A.C.H. Inc. The Mission of Project T.E.A.C.H. is to foster the minds of children and those in need of support, creating an endless guide of hope and possibilities to accomplish their goals through various programs. One of the featured programs includes the “Art of Reading Book Tour”, where Project T.E.A.C.H., travels to various locations and provides an area for children to read, learn and be creative.
The Tu Es Belle “Big Screen” - Cultural Edition Scholarship was established in 2017 as part of an initiative to help support the financial reoccurring gap for students of Haitian descent. The scholarship’s purpose is to assist students as they embark on their new educational journey by providing funds to contribute towards their college expenses.
The awarded student will receive a minimum of $500.00. This award can be used at any accredited college or university in the United States.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
o Applicant must demonstrate excellent character and or show he/she has helped others through community organizations, church, S.T.E.M. programs, school, music or the arts
o Applicant must be a resident of Palm Beach, Broward or Dade County
o Applicant must be a high school graduating senior
APPLICATION MATERIALS
o Applicant must have ONE letter of recommendation
o Applicant must show Post-Secondary School acceptance letter
o Applicant must complete brief essay paragraph, musical piece or poem
o Application must be received by deadline: Sunday, May 8th, 2022 (11:59PM EST)
