They need to stay in a mid-country like Dubai, Singapore, Netherlands or any other approved country for atleast 2 months before going to Australia. Australia allow pets to enter only as a Manifest Cargo. It does NOT allow pets to enter as Excess Baggage by Air. In the Cargo mode - Pet travels separately in another flight than the passenger. Pets can leave India after the owner has left India. A registered agent at destination is also required for airlines and customs clearance.

    Cargo mode is safe and widely used for pet transportation.
