What we consider to be humanities/humanities-based programming: The humanities include our cultures, languages, ethics, civics, stories, religions, laws, philosophies, histories, and more. Humanities programming can refer to these disciplines as well as the activities and actions – reflecting, making meaning, connecting, questioning, etc.—that help us learn about these disciplines and what it means to be human.
What humanities are not: humanitarian aid or social service work.
