Workshop and Facilitated Dialogue Request Form
The Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion facilitates workshops and facilitated dialogues for the OCU community. These workshops are designed to promote awareness through interactive discourse.

To request a workshop, please complete this form at least three weeks prior (15 working days) to the date you would like the workshop. Requests made outside of this timeframe may not be accommodated. Requests will be reviewed and scheduled in the order they are received and depending on the VP's availability.

While we make every effort to meet requests, certain peak times of the year do not allow us the time or resources to provide workshops.

Please note:
- Workshops requested outside of traditional business days and hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) may be accommodated based on facilitator availability
- Workshops are scheduled for 90 minutes, unless otherwise defined by facilitator

Mitigating Bias in Hiring with OCU Human Resources: Hiring committee members and managers will learn about best practices for the hiring process and the laws that need to be adhered to for a successful, inclusive, diverse, and equitable search.Understanding Social Identities: Participants will explore the identities of self and others, with particular focus on how systems of oppression create advantages or disadvantages for individuals and groups.Mitigating Bias in Higher Education: Participants will study a number of examples of bias and how they can unconsciously create inequitable and homogenous spaces or experiences that are not inclusive.Recognizing and Addressing Microaggressions: Participants will learn what microaggressions are in different contexts and discuss how to be proactive in addressing them.Having Difficult Conversations: Participants will learn how to facilitate and navigate discussions about various sensitive or emotionally-charged topics while still engaging in meaningful connections.Disability & Access Services: Participants will learn what the federal and state laws are regarding disability and access along with vocabulary to discuss them and how to become advocates on our campus.Other
